Google, Cadbury top list of most engaging brands
Category: Sector | 03rd Feb 2010
Results of a new survey suggest Google and Cadbury are the main brands which consumers engage with, either consciously or unconsciously.
The Hall & Partners' Engager shows that Cadbury in particular has formed a strong emotional connection with the public, mainly due to its advertising material.
"Our research has shown that their highly engaging campaigns - such as the gorilla and eyebrows advertising - have helped reinforce a very strong emotional connection and build one of Britain's best-loved brands," commented Vanella Jackson, worldwide chief executive officer of the company.
She noted that the impact of the company's merger with Kraft could well prove important for the brand and its image.
Google, meanwhile, has so far had a busy 2010 aside from topping this recent poll, as its first smartphone - the Nexus One - was first revealed to the public.
It comes with a five-megapixel camera and weighs just 130g with the battery.
