IAB names mobile innovator award finalists
Category: Creative work | 22nd May 2009
Six finalists have been named by the Internet Advertising Bureau (IAB) for the first mobile innovator awards.
Among them is Vet Text for its medical reminder text service, which involves two different Web 2.0 applications that enable users to set free SMS reminders for any human or veterinary drug dosing regime, according to the IAB.
As part of the service people can set reminders for things such as twice-daily antibiotics and contraceptive pills, the IAB explained.
It noted that adverts can be targeted with user demographics, such as age, sex or medical practice.
Another finalist named by the IAB is Rapid Mobile for its Ad2Txt platform that enables content providers to request contextually-relevant adverts based on a number of factors.
The event will be held on May 20th and the winner will be chosen by the audience who will text their votes.
Last month, the IAB introduced new best practice guidelines for online video advertising after six months' collaboration with the council members.
HS&P's creative team is led by Andy Barwood, Paul Zeidler and Lindsay Jones. Award-winning, integrated creatives, working with strong online and offline production teams to deliver their ideas.
